Day 1 at rtCamp

My first day at rtCamp unfolded with a dynamic blend of introductions, tasks, and enlightening sessions that left me eager for the journey ahead.

The day kicked off at 11 am with an engaging session led by the HR team. Not only did they introduce us to rtCamp but also handed us a series of tasks. These tasks included creating accounts on platforms like rtCamp's ERP, greyHR, Slack, Zoom, 1Password, and Gravavatar. Simultaneously, we delved into the company handbook, absorbing the foundational principles that guide rtCamp.

A notable highlight of the onboarding process was the introduction of rtBuddy, a mentor figure designed to be our go-to for any queries, whether they be formal or informal. A 3 pm call with my rtBuddy proved insightful, providing me with a deeper understanding of the company's culture and answering my initial questions.

Later in the day, from 3:30 to 4:40 pm, a Senior System Engineer guided us through a System Overview session. This session was a treasure trove of information, covering DevOps concepts like GitHub Actions and introducing us to EasyEngine, rtCamp's server management tool. Essential server commands were unveiled, offering a sneak peek into the technical aspects we'd be diving into in the future.

The Welcome Session at 5 pm was a delightful community-building experience. With introductions all around, the Learning and Development Coordinator and Sales Manager shared rtCamp's core values, emphasizing the essence of "Good Work, Good People."

As the day came to an end, I had a 6 pm call with my rtBuddy. We talked about my day, and I could ask any remaining questions I had. After that, at 7 pm, there was a Learning and Development sync, where we got a sneak peek into what the next few months of training will be like.

In summary, my first day at rtCamp was filled with learning and making connections. I feel a sense of purpose and excitement for what's to come. With the support of my new knowledge and the friendly community, I'm looking forward to the adventures ahead at rtCamp.
