Day 2 at rtCamp

My second day at rtCamp as a Web Engineer Trainee was filled with learning, meeting new people, and starting our training module.

Learning & Development Orientation

The day kicked off with a comprehensive 2-hour Learning & Development Orientation session. We got a glimpse of our training program, including its duration, our roles, training calendar, and red flags to watch out for. Training policies and organizational expectations rounded off the session.

Meeting Pod Leaders

Post-orientation, we met our pod leaders in a fun-filled session, sharing unique facts about ourselves. This laid the foundation for camaraderie within our small group of 5-6 trainees.

Commencement of Training Module

Access to our first module, Engineering Basics, was granted, covering OS basics, development environment setup, web and server basics, and programming languages. I eagerly began absorbing the foundational knowledge. During this module, I revised basic OS concepts like CLI (Command Line Interface) and IPC (Inter-Process Communication), gaining a solid understanding of these essential elements in web engineering.

Collaboration with rtBuddy

At 5 PM, a call with my rtBuddy provided a chance to discuss queries, gaining valuable insights and support as I delved into the course content.

L&D Sync - Wrap-up

The day concluded with a 7 PM Learning & Development sync, focusing on timesheets, doubt resolution, and procedural details, adding a layer of organization to our learning journey.

Looking forward to next day 🚀
